I just think the sentiment of feeling so good over something like this is just heartwarming. So much, in fact, to the point they’ve “got a hold on her”, can’t shake the thought of them. The lyrical message of this song is simple, but sweet: the narrator’s in love, and she feels good about it. Funny that a song like this displaced Van Halen, I mean, talk about musical whiplash. Her self titled LP, her second solo endeavor, spawned this tune, which became a Top 10 pop hit, and also went #1 on both the Rock and Adult Contemporary charts.

After 1982, FM went on hiatus and several of its members went off to do some solo material, including McVie. After marrying and joining the band around 1971, this was followed by roughly a decade of touring, recording, and eventual success (and divorcing J.M in 1976). It was during her brief tenure with them that she first encountered Fleetwood Mac, and their bassist John McVie. (They had a minor UK hit with a cover of Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind”, which peaked at #14). I know I’ve said it before, but this is their one appearance, and I gotta clean out the closet with this people.īefore Christine McVie joined Fleetwood, she was a young Lancashire-born, Birmingham-raised singer/keyboardist performing in a small time blues outfit called Chickenshack. I do like a couple songs, but only a tiny percentage. How much unnecessary grief this all caused me.ĭepending on the day I either loathe them or am just apathetic. With how praised they are, I always feel like I’m “wrong” because I don’t like them.Ħ. I always worry that if I give them a chance, I actually will like them, and will be forced to eat my words.ĥ.

With the childish arguments and constant immature rants against Hagar just being in the band on their forums and fansites, this band’s fanbase comes off as a bit toxic and leaves a bad taste in my mouthĤ. One of their 2 (well known) lead singers bugs meģ. Not a fan of The Flailing Dutchman’s playing style (personal preference)ģ. If I had to sum it up just to get it off my chest: it’d be:Ģ. You know, I was going to write a multiple paragraph explanation of why I don’t like this band, but I did not do that for fear of just delving into an angry rant.
